Project WolverineBroadcasting LIVE from the orbiting command centre

I went to an igovt seminar today, and it was very interesting.  This is a system to tie the Identity Verification System together with the Government Logon System.

Privacy is a core feature of this system and it’s designed to provide an authoritative source of people’s identities.

The SSC have created a framework to handle a variety of data and to communicate with a potentially unlimited number of sources.

What I found most interesting though, is that various Government agencies are willing to provide an API to provide a great range of detailed information to the SSC.

This dovetails extremely nicely with my interest in getting taxpayer-funded data out of Government agencies, and if they’re willing to provide the SSC access to this sort of information, then hopefully they can be persuaded to allow a generic interface for the public to get this as well.

Stay tuned…
