Our ‘J’ meal was ‘Jamacian Lamb‘. This was shaping up to be quite interesting… lamb, banana, coffee liqueur, garlic, chilli, it promised to be a flavour sensation.

What came out of it was something….. different.

It all started to go wrong when the sauce was clearly burning, despite:

  • it was nowhere near the recommended simmering time
  • it was already on the smallest element and the lowest heat setting.

What we got was fairly tasty, but not something I enjoyed. The lamb was overdone and the sauce was burnt. Perhaps it would have been tastier if we had cooked it for less, but hey, we were only following instructions!

I don’t think we’ll be having this again!
