Project WolverineBroadcasting LIVE from the orbiting command centre

I won a TUANZ award for innovation in Local & Central Government services. This was for the e-Government validator I wrote (http://www.accessware.co.nz).

Winning this award was an awesome moment, one I still can’t believe actually happened. It was the result of years of work writing an HTML and CSS parser, endless testing on thousands of pages.

However, being technically awesome is not enough to win an award when the judges’ emphasis is on user experience. We had to be very careful that everything which was said was non-technical and demonstrated value from a user’s perspective.

I only had 10 minutes to make an awesome impression, and somehow, we prevailed. When Accessware was announced as the winner of the category, it felt like 1 litre of pureĀ adrenalineĀ had been pumped directly into my heart.

That was a pretty incredible day.
